TRASH BUGS started in a basement full of trash. They were originally scribbled on any paper product available with any writing device that worked. Initially conceived as contribution to the I Have No Friends art zine, a promotional piece associated with PIGCRACK RECORDS, a good number of TRASH BUGS comics were drawn by R. Cro in anticipation of an on going series of zines. This did not pan out.
After failing to secure a reliable way to duplicate the zine the project was indefinitely suspended leaving TRASH BUGS to be further developed as sort of a loose autobiographical account of the time R. Cro and Gabe L. S. shared a living space. After producing so many drawings the next natural step was for Trash Pit City to emerge as a means to produce Trash Bugs collections (and anything else we feel like making).
